The 17th MHS Athletic Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony

Middletown High School, Middletown, OH issued the following announcement on March 3

The Middletown Athletic Department is proud to announce the Class of 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame.

The M.H.S. Athletic Hall of Fame Committee will hold it’s 17th induction ceremony on Saturday, March 5, 2022.  This will be the first induction ceremony since 2016. In cooperation with Middletown High School, the ceremony will be held in the new high school arena.

Date: Saturday, March 5th, 2022

Time: 5:00- 8:00pm

        5:00pm- Meet and Greet

        6:00pm- Dinner

        7:00pm- Ceremony

Location: Wade E. Miller Arena- 601 N. Breiel Boulevard, Middletown, Ohio 45042

Tickets: $25.00 

Tickets can be purchased in the Middletown Athletic Office or by mail , please make checks payable to MHS Athletic Hall of Fame, and mail to M.H.S. Athletic Hall of Fame, c/o Scott Spradling, 7300 Michael Road, Middletown, Ohio 45042. 

The Athletic Inductees for 2022:

Kenneth Dale Bryant Sr.- Class of 1961- Earned 9 varsity letters, 3 each in Basketball, Football and Track

William “Bill” Edwards- Class of 2009- Lettered Basketball 4 years, and Football 2 years

Basketball All-State Selection 2 years

Fabia McDonald- Class of 2010- Lettered Volleyball 1 year, Basketball 2 years and Track 4 years

Track 4x record holder and 9x State Qualifier

Victor Merchant- Class of 1975-Lettered Basketball 3 years and Football 1 year

Basketball All-State Selection 2 years

Kyle Schwarber- Class of 2011- Lettered Baseball 4 years and Football 3 years

Football 2010 All-State 2 nd team and Baseball Batting Avg. 408, 18 HRS, 103 RBIS

Michael Veatch- Class of 2004- Earned 9 varsity letters, Soccer 1 year, Cross County 4 years and Track 4 years

The Skeeter Payne Award Inductees for 2022:

The Hall of Fame was established to identify and honor, in a permanent manner, individuals who exhibited high ethical standards and integrity while achieving excellence in high school athletics, as well as others who have distinguished themselves by virtue of exemplary contributions to the advancement of interscholastic athletics at Middletown.

Anyone wanting to donate to the M.H.S. Hall of Fame, please make checks payable to MHS Athletic Hall of Fame and mail to M.H.S. Athletic Hall of Fame, c/o Scott Spradling, 7300 Michael Road, Middletown, Ohio 45042.  All donations go toward the induction of the Athletes and the names of the donors will be listed in the Ceremony programs
