Rising home prices in Fairfield in Q2

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2022 in Fairfield rose by $15,275 while total sales decreased by 30.9 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June, there were 159 homes sold, with a median sale price of $199,525 - an 8.3 percent increase over the $184,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 230 homes sold in Fairfield in the second quarter of 2021.

The median sales tax in Fairfield for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,185, approximately 1.1 percent of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2022.
