U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) said an illegal alien that had been previously arrested and deported multiple times over “murdered someone” near his home town.

“I was in Hamilton a few days ago visiting a relative,” Vance said in a post on X. “It's 15 miles from where I grew up. An illegal alien, deported seven times, murdered someone. He should have never been in our country to begin with.”

Fermin Garcia-Gutierrez, a 46 year old illegal alien from Mexico, has been arrested by the Butler County Sheriff’s office in Ohio after murdering a man. He is being held on charges of aggravated murder, using weapons while intoxicated, carrying concealed weapons, possession of drugs, and obstruction, according to Fox News.

The body of his victim was found in Hamilton just after 2:30 p.m. on April 1.

Garcia-Gutierrez has been arrested eleven times in the U.S., with the first offense occurring in 2001. In his eleven arrests, he has given seven different names and three different birth dates, and been charged with over twenty crimes. He is also a known gang member, according to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.

Garcia-Gutierrez has been deported seven times, and turned around while trying to cross the border an additional time. He is currently held on Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.

Vance was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, enlisting in the Marines in the early 2000s and serving during the Iraq War. After his time in the military, Vance attended and graduated from Ohio State University and Yale Law School. He has also published a book, titled “Hillbilly Elegy.” He was elected to serve as U.S. Senator for Ohio in 2022.
