Warren Davidson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 8th District since 2016, has made several comments via social media that reflect on trade policy, investments in U.S. manufacturing, and government activities involving the Taliban. Davidson, who succeeded John Boehner and previously served on the Concord Township, Ohio, Board of Trustees, has voiced support for policies promoting American manufacturing and criticized certain government actions.
On April 1, 2025, Davidson commented on trade policy under Trump, stating "Unless someone makes the stuff, there is no stuff." He mentioned that Trump's trade policy aims to enhance wages and is encouraging investment in American manufacturing.
Later the same day, Davidson shared that "Stellantis announced a $5 billion investment in its U.S. manufacturing network", including the reopening of an Illinois plant, with a commitment to boost domestic vehicle production. Additionally, Hyundai's $20 billion investment in the United States was noted.
In another post on April 1, Davidson assessed that "the US government has been a substantial source of funding for the Taliban," a claim he believes the government fails to acknowledge but considers easily provable.
