Warren Davidson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 8th District, expressed his concerns about voting procedures in recent communications through social media. Davidson, who has held his congressional seat since 2016 after replacing John Boehner, took to Twitter to weigh in on these matters.

On April 1, 2025, Davidson stated, "Luna lunacy wrecked the agenda this week. Proxy voting is unacceptable." This comment highlighted his opposition to the concept of proxy voting, which allows congressional members to vote remotely.

Later the same day, Davidson provided clarification about the procedural challenges faced, tweeting, "People confused about how one vote wrecked the agenda: The rule vote sets the terms: What we vote on, whether amendments are allowed, time allotted to debate." He further explained that Representative Luna was attempting to push a bill that would allow Members of Congress to vote by proxy, effectively enabling them to work from home.

Continuing the discussion on April 2, 2025, Davidson reiterated his stance against remote voting, stating, "No proxy voting for Members of Congress. This is not a remote work position. Perhaps amend the Constitution? I am opposed, but at least that would make it constitutional." His statement underscored his belief that such a change would require a constitutional amendment, a measure he does not support.
