Warren Davidson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 8th district, has shared his thoughts on various political and constitutional issues through a series of tweets. Davidson, who succeeded John Boehner in 2016, has been vocal about self-custody rights, American foreign policy, and economic principles.

On May 5, 2025, Davidson pondered the implications of a hypothetical change to the Second Amendment. He tweeted: " Imagine how hard it would be to own and use firearms if the 2nd Amendment said, 'shall not prohibit' instead of 'shall not infringe'. After trying to avoid any commitment on self-custody, the latest plan is 'shall not prohibit'. Keep working to protect self-custody."

The following day, on May 6, 2025, Davidson emphasized a focus on national priorities over international conflicts. He stated: "Stay focused on America First. We don't need to participate in every war we're invited to, and we certainly don't need to seek out more wars in more places. More freedom. Less government. Sound money. Secure borders. A government small enough to fit within the Constitution..."

Later that day, he addressed fiscal policies and their impact on freedom by asserting: "Sound money is essential to defending freedom. Massive deficits undermine sound money. To Make America Great Again, we must have a smaller, more accountable government. Not just a different big government... More freedom. Less government. Sound money. Secure borders."

Davidson's comments reflect his longstanding advocacy for limited government intervention and fiscal responsibility as key components of American governance.
