Warren Davidson, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio's 8th district since 2016, has recently shared his views on various political issues through social media. Davidson, who succeeded John Boehner, expressed criticism towards his Democratic colleagues and the Biden Administration in a series of tweets.
On May 7, 2025, Davidson commented on the behavior of his Democrat colleagues during a committee meeting with Secretary Scott Bessent. He described their actions as "feigned outrage and screeching rants," characterizing them as "hard to imagine if this wasn't a made for TV production." He further labeled these actions as "completely performative and non-productive."
Later that day, Davidson addressed an issue involving FinCEN and the Southern District of New York (SDNY). He claimed that FinCEN had informed Biden’s SDNY that Samourai Wallet was not a money transmitter. However, six months later, charges were filed against Samourai Wallet as if they were a money transmitter. Davidson accused SDNY prosecutors of hiding exculpatory evidence from the court and stated that they were acting contrary to the Blanche memo by saying "SDNY prosecutors are out of line with the Blanche memo and violating."
In another tweet on May 7, 2025, Davidson criticized an unnamed initiative under the Biden Administration by stating it was "A dumb idea poorly executed..." He noted that such occurrences are "sadly not uncommon under the Biden Administration."
Warren Davidson was born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970 and currently resides in Troy. Prior to serving in Congress, he was part of the Concord Township Board of Trustees from 2004 to 2005.
