Warren Davidson, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio's 8th district since 2016, has recently shared his views on economic and legislative matters through social media. Davidson, who succeeded John Boehner in Congress, expressed concerns about tax policies and legislative practices.
On May 14, 2025, Davidson commented on the expiration of certain pro-growth policies by the Ways and Means Committee. He stated, "Given that @WaysandMeansGOP let R&D, CAPEX, and interest deductibility expire two years ago, I find it difficult to comprehend their logic for letting these essential, pro-growth policies expire in five years. Bad idea." He further advocated for a revision of the tax code to make expensing permanent.
Later that day, Davidson addressed legislative tactics with another post. He remarked on the dispersal of opposition voices within legislative processes by stating: "This practice disperses the opposition here in the land of illusion. It allows leadership to out message the body who knows about the fake content in this big ugly bill."
On May 15, 2025, Davidson discussed proposed changes to Medicaid under a Republican plan. He clarified that "The Republican plan cuts Medicaid for the NON-WORKING poor by eventually implementing work requirements for able-bodied adults - if their states don't waive the mandate."
Warren Davidson was born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970 and currently resides in Troy. Before serving in Congress from Ohio’s 8th District starting in 2016, he served on Concord Township's Board of Trustees from 2004 to 2005.
