Warren Davidson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 8th district, has taken to social media to express his views on financial transparency and defense priorities. Davidson, who succeeded John Boehner in 2016, is advocating for legislative changes to enhance public access to governmental financial models.
On May 20, 2025, Davidson posted a tweet stating "This sort of detail, along with the full financial model, should be available to every Congressional office and to the public. To make it happen, I have proposed the CBO Show Your Work Act. Leadership in every Congress is opposed, for obvious reasons. Pass CBO Show Your Work Act". He emphasizes the need for transparency and accountability by making these details accessible.
Later that day, Davidson questioned the Congressional Budget Office's practices by tweeting " Why do you suppose the Congressional Budget Office refuses to share their financial models? We are in the midst of a high stakes financial decision with no data, just essays and platitudes. Pass my CBO Show Your Work Act! And, cut spending! cc: @DOGE". His call for action reflects concerns over decision-making processes lacking substantial data.
In another post on May 20th, he praised current defense leadership with "It's so refreshing to have a @SecDef laser focused on the ability to fight and win wars. Best sequel ever! #47". This comment highlights his approval of defense strategies under current administration leadership.
Warren Davidson was born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970 and currently resides in Troy. His political career began at the Concord Township Board of Trustees from 2004-2005 before moving on to represent Ohio's 8th District since 2016.
