On June 4, 2025, Davidson addressed what he described as "faulty premises" in the context of fiscal policy. He stated: "Faulty premises: 1. Without BBB, we couldn't raise the debt limit, so we would default on the debt. We would raise the debt limit. 2. Without BBB, everyone would get a tax increase because the TCJA cuts expire. We would still cut taxes." He emphasized that despite concerns over expiring tax cuts under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), there are intentions to continue cutting taxes.

A disappointing illustration of how DC often discourages the best and brightest from engaging in our political system... Thank you, @elonmusk."
