Warren Davidson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 8th district since 2016, has recently shared several statements on social media regarding historical lessons, sanctuary policies, and constitutional responsibilities. Davidson replaced John Boehner in Congress and previously served on the Concord Township Board of Trustees.

On June 15, 2025, Davidson posed a rhetorical question about the importance of learning from history: "Why study history only to ignore the lessons?" He referenced Sun Tzu's "The Art of War," noting that prolonged warfare can be detrimental to a nation and emphasized the need for swift victories rather than lengthy conflicts.

Later that day, Davidson expressed his stance against sanctuary jurisdictions with a succinct declaration: "No sanctuary states. No sanctuary cities. No sanctuary farms. No sanctuary hotels. No sanctuary!" This statement underscores his position on immigration enforcement and local government policies.

In another post on June 15, Davidson reminded his audience of Congress's exclusive power to declare war according to the U.S. Constitution: "Don’t forget, Congress declares war. We are not at war with Iran, or Russia for that matter." He cited Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the Constitution and referenced Federalist Papers numbers 69 and 41 for further explanation.

Davidson was born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970 and currently resides in Troy at age 53.
