Warren Davidson, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 8th district since 2016, shared his perspectives on Congress and U.S.-China relations in a series of posts published between August 25 and August 26, 2025.
On August 25, Davidson criticized the lack of progress in congressional budget negotiations, stating, "I can explain how Congress operates, but I can’t explain how it works. It doesn’t. Yet again there is no plan to fund the federal government ahead of the 9/30 deadline."
Later that evening, Davidson commented on international affairs by noting improvements in diplomatic ties with China but urging caution: "The relationship with China is better, but let's not get carried away here..." This statement reflects ongoing debates within Congress about the nature and trajectory of U.S.-China relations.
In a post on August 26, Davidson referenced political direction in the United States: "Compass check. Let’s pick up the correct azimuth and resume Making America Great Again."
Davidson has represented Ohio’s 8th District since replacing John Boehner in 2016 and previously served as a trustee for Concord Township from 2004 to 2005. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970, he currently resides in Troy.
