Warren Davidson, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 8th district since 2016, posted a series of statements on his social media account between September 18 and 19, 2025, addressing topics ranging from legal philosophy to crime statistics and media coverage.
On September 18, Davidson quoted Frédéric Bastiat in a post: "The law perverted! The law — and, in its wake, all the collective forces of the nation — the law, I say, not only diverted from its proper direction, but made to pursue one entirely contrary!" - Frédéric Bastiat.
Later that day, he posted another message: "This is the way!" (September 18).
On September 19, Davidson addressed crime rates and media reporting: "Crime wasn't down, it was simply redefined to hide the truth. Crime was soaring. The media was lying. President Trump restored law and order. The media is still lying, but now you know the rest of the story..."
Davidson has served as a member of Congress for Ohio's 8th District since replacing John Boehner in 2016. He previously held a position on the Concord Township Board of Trustees from 2004 to 2005. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970, Davidson currently resides in Troy.
