Later the same evening, Davidson commented on public discourse around contentious issues, writing: "Worse, anyone who’s curious enough to ask why is labeled and marginalized or canceled. Let’s trust the science and answer the obvious question: Why?" This post appeared at 23:16 UTC.

Davidson has represented Ohio's 8th District in Congress since replacing John Boehner in 2016. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served as a trustee for Concord Township from 2004 to 2005. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970, Davidson currently resides in Troy.
