Warren Davidson, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 8th district since 2016, shared a series of posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account between September 30 and October 1, 2025. The posts included commentary on media characterizations of libertarians, an expression of support for an unspecified subject, and criticism regarding the recent government shutdown.

On September 30, Davidson questioned comments made by television host Joy Reid about libertarians: "Who told Joy Reid that libertarians are fascists?".

Later that day, he posted another message stating: "Strong and focused!".

On October 1, Davidson addressed the outcome of a Senate vote related to a government funding bill. He wrote: "While a majority of the Senate voted to keep the government open (55-45), Senate rules require 60 votes. Therefore, Democrats were able to force a government shutdown."

Davidson has served in Congress since replacing John Boehner in 2016 and previously held local office as a Concord Township trustee from 2004 to 2005. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970, Davidson currently resides in Troy.
