Krause then singled, driving in Andrews. Following Brian Zapp reaching on a hit by pitch, William Escala singled to drive in Krause. Zapp and Escala then each stole a base, setting up a David Novak sacrifice fly to score Zapp. Back then doubled to left-center, driving in Escala. Back scored shortly after on a Lester single, putting the RedHawks up 12-9.
  • In the bottom of the fifth, Zapp singled, then stole second and third base, setting up a Novak RBI single to extend the Miami lead to four.
  • In the bottom of the sixth, Lester walked. He moved to third on a MacDonald single, with MacDonald taking second on the throw. Andrews then doubled, driving in both runners and extending the Miami lead to 15-9.
