On the morning of September 5 at 10:24 UTC, Davidson reflected on U.S. foreign policy and border security. He said: "Since the Cold War, while squandering trillions on ill-defined wars elsewhere, America has neglected security at our own borders and throughout our own neighborhood here in the Western Hemisphere. Finally, America First. A republic, not an empire…"
Davidson succeeded John Boehner in Congress after being elected in 2016 and previously served as a trustee in Concord Township from 2004 to 2005.
