As a company that is committed to strengthening the communities it serves, this week’s One Team Convention brought together nearly 3,000 H&R Block franchisees and associates from around the globe to give back to the Las Vegas community. This special Convention giveback event was made possible through the company’s signature Make Every Block Better initiative started in 2019. And, as a result, 3,500 hygiene kits were assembled for the Red Cross of Southern Nevada, and 220 duffle bags were filled with much-needed personal and comfort items for the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth.
“Community service is intrinsic to who we are, starting with our late founder, Henry Bloch,” said Karen Orosco, president, Global Consumer Tax and Service Delivery, H&R Block. “We prioritize giving back in ways that help form connections within the communities we serve, which includes improving the spaces where neighbors can come together through our signature program, Make Every Block Better. This event really demonstrates that commitment, and we are honored to donate much-needed personal care and comfort items to two very deserving and much-appreciated local organizations.”
This Make Every Block Better give back event is an example of H&R Block’s commitment to service, care and connection. And this volunteer event puts the company closer to achieving its goal of 1 million volunteer hours by 2025 to improve communities across the U.S.
