"I will withhold my assessment until I see the plan. I have yet to see any plan that includes 3/14 or discretionary spending."

Two days later, on February 17, Davidson commented on accountability within governance structures. He stressed the importance of focusing on substantive issues rather than messenger critiques and called for transparency from Doge in providing information to Congress for legislative action aimed at criminal reform. "It’s hard to believe this is even possible, but it’s even more inconceivable that anyone would be more upset by the messenger than the message."
