Warren Davidson, the current U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 8th District, has shared a series of Twitter posts touching on personal experiences and political issues. Davidson, who has served in this role since replacing John Boehner in 2016, offered insights into recent events and policy perspectives in his April 2025 tweets.

On April 13, 2025, Davidson disclosed an incident that marked the end of his long streak of accident-free driving. He wrote, "The streak has ended. After 39 years of driving, and several near misses, I hit a deer tonight." He noted that while he was unharmed, his truck would require repairs and unfortunately, the deer did not survive.

The following day, April 14, 2025, Davidson commented on international relations, specifically with Iran. In his post, he emphasized attempts to mitigate Iran’s influence over terrorism and nuclear development. He stated "We've been asking Iran nicely... to stop funding terror through proxies (Hamas, Houthis), influence the release of all hostages held including by proxies, live at peace with neighbors, and verifiably cease its development of nuclear weapons." Davidson noted that direct talks have been a positive step forward.

Also on April 14, 2025, Davidson addressed trade issues, questioning U.S. policy towards free trade and its economic relationship with China. He opined "Did we have free trade on April 1st? We did not. Why would anyone oppose using leverage to improve our incredibly lopsided trade deals?" Davidson highlighted America’s dependency on China as a significant vulnerability, suggesting the need for strategic changes.

Warren Davidson has a long history of public service, including his early political career serving in the Concord Township Board of Trustees from 2004 to 2005. Born in 1970, he now resides in Troy, Ohio.
