Warren Davidson, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio's 8th district since 2016, has been vocal on various political issues through his social media presence. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970 and currently residing in Troy, Davidson succeeded John Boehner and previously served on the Concord Township Board of Trustees.
On June 19, 2025, Davidson commented on the Senate's passage of the Genius Act to regulate stablecoins federally. He emphasized the importance of protecting self-custody in light of this development: "Now that the Senate has passed the Genius Act to regulate stablecoins federally, protecting self-custody becomes even more urgent. No worries about this Trump administration, but account-based crypto is superficial deception. Protect self-custody!"
Later that day, Davidson reflected on recent political shifts within the Republican Party following key endorsements and election outcomes: "When we saw Liz Cheney bounced, Dick Cheney endorse Kamala Harris, and President Trump not only win but with Vice President JD Vance… I felt like we were making real progress at reclaiming the Republican Party from the neocons. At least now we know the scope of the problem."
In a subsequent post dated June 20, 2025, he expressed a desire for a political party focused on reducing government size and increasing accountability: "Somebody somewhere should turn something off. If only we had an opportunity for a party that campaigns on smaller, more accountable government to deliver smaller, more accountable government."
Warren Davidson continues to be an influential voice within his district and beyond as he navigates complex political landscapes while advocating for his principles.
