Today, Representative Warren Davidson of Ohio announced his support for the One Big Beautiful Bill, a piece of legislation that aligns with President Trump's agenda and offers significant victories for conservatives. The bill aims to implement pro-growth tax policies, structural reforms in mandatory spending, border security funding, and reductions to the Green New Deal.

"This bill isn’t perfect, but it includes major conservative wins we’ve been fighting for—pro-growth tax policy, real structural reform to mandatory spending, border security funding, strong work requirements, and cuts to Biden’s Green New Deal," said Rep. Davidson. He emphasized the importance of making full and immediate expensing permanent as a means to drive investment and boost productivity.

The legislation also proposes reforms in federal spending and entitlement programs. These include Medicaid work requirements for able-bodied adults, tighter SNAP work requirements, reducing the Medicaid provider tax loophole that allowed states to inflate federal reimbursements, rolling back much of the Green New Deal, and reforming student loan lending programs.

Rep. Davidson acknowledged initial reservations about the House's version of the bill but expressed concern over potential negative changes if Congress fails to pass it now. "I initially voted against the House’s version of this bill because I believed some areas needed improvement. Unfortunately, I’ve come to the conclusion that if Congress doesn’t pass the bill this time around, the Senate’s version will get even worse."

He reiterated Republicans' commitment to a smaller government and fiscal responsibility: "Republicans promise the American people they will fight for a smaller, more limited government. We must uphold that commitment."
