Three projects in Butler County have been awarded a Recycle Ohio Grant by the Ohio EPA. The grant is intended to be used for initiatives that promote recycling and implement litter prevention efforts, according to State Rep. Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester).
The funds have been allocated as follows: $28,135 will be used towards special venue recycling and education efforts in the City of Oxford; $50,000 has been assigned to MetroParks of Butler County for special venue recycling; and $4,149 will be used towards a water bottle refilling station at the St. Joseph Consolidated School.
"We have been entrusted to take care of our environment and make Butler County the best place to live and flourish," said Gross. "Recycling is a significant way to care for our communities and this funding will make it easier for individuals to do so."
In total, the Ohio EPA has awarded more than $900,000 for recycling and litter prevention projects throughout southwest Ohio.
