Warren Davidson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 8th district, has used social media to express his views on government spending and the ongoing debate over continuing resolutions (CR) in Congress.
On September 16, 2025, Davidson questioned the direction of current budget negotiations: "The question isn't whether a CR will pass, but rather who will supply the votes. That depends on the answer: A CR, in order to do what? Status quo? NO More spending? NO Less spending? YES Protect Social Security? ABSOLUTELY Many possible answers to the question. Still no plan."
Later that same day, he quoted another user and commented on fiscal policy: '"Your dollar ain't shit and it's taxed to no end." - @AintGottaDollar And the current plan is more spending versus more status quo... '
On September 17, Davidson addressed his followers with a call for civic engagement regarding government accountability: "If you want a smaller, more accountable government, could you speak up? My colleagues can’t hear you."
Davidson has represented Ohio's 8th District in Congress since 2016 after replacing John Boehner. Before serving in Congress, he was part of the Concord Township Board of Trustees from 2004 to 2005. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970, Davidson currently resides in Troy.
