Alumni, current students and the public are invited to join the Department of Anthropology in celebrating World Anthropology Day and 20 years as an independent department! At this event Dr. Linda Marchant, Professor Emeritis and the first chair of the independent department, will give opening remarks. Short film, A Field of Our Own: Anthropology 1971, about a Miami summer archaeological dig highlighting the photographs of alumnus Stuart Pearl '73 will have its world premier and Dr. Julienne Rutherford '94 will be speaking on “Follow the Red Brick Road: Unexpected Adventures in Anthropology.” Reception to follow. Cosponsored by the Department of Anthropology and Honors College.
