State Representative Thomas Hall of Madison Township announced that three legislative measures from the 135th General Assembly have been enacted into law by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. The newly signed laws are House Bill 74, House Bill 265, and House Bill 315.

House Bill 74 aims to enhance Ohio's technology infrastructure, aiming to serve residents better, increase accountability, and reduce taxpayer expenses. It also addresses improvements in the state's election system by proactively tackling cybersecurity and fraud prevention needs.

House Bill 265 focuses on safeguarding Ohio’s first responders by exempting specific sensitive information from being disclosed under public records law and clarifying additional protected information as per the Ohio Revised Code.

House Bill 315, known as the Township Omnibus Bill, includes various legal amendments intended to support Ohio's township governments. This bill incorporates over 20 other bills previously passed by the House.

"I am grateful for the work we were able to accomplish for the good of all Ohioans during the 135th General Assembly and I’m excited for what’s to come," stated Hall. "I look forward to continuing to work on the issues that matter most to my constituents."

The legislation will become effective in 90 days.
