Warren Davidson, currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 8th District since 2016, has recently posted a series of tweets addressing government accountability, surveillance, and upcoming legislative activity related to cryptocurrency. Davidson succeeded John Boehner in Congress and has been an advocate for limited government and financial innovation.

On July 10, 2025, Davidson emphasized his vision for governmental reform by stating "A smaller, more accountable government... To restore our own country: More freedom. Less government. Sound money. Secure borders. Strong families."

Later that day, on July 11, 2025, Davidson expressed criticism regarding the expansion of artificial intelligence surveillance measures. He wrote "Who else thought slogans like 'Drain the Swamp' and 'No More Bullshit' referred to bullshit like this AI surveillance expansion bullshit?"

In a tweet posted on July 11, 2025, Davidson announced forthcoming legislative activity in the House of Representatives concerning cryptocurrency regulation. He stated "Crypto Week next week in the House. We are voting on several crypto bills. The primary objective of crypto is to send payments (or move tokens representing other assets) at the speed of light, without involving any 3rd party – the same characteristics as cash."

Warren Davidson was born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970 and currently resides in Troy. Before joining Congress in 2016, he served on the Concord Township Board of Trustees from 2004 to 2005.
