Warren Davidson, who has represented Ohio’s 8th district in the U.S. Congress since 2016, recently addressed several issues on social media related to cryptocurrency regulation and broader societal concerns. Davidson, a Republican legislator from Troy, Ohio, replaced John Boehner in Congress and previously served as a trustee in Concord Township.
On July 14, 2025, Davidson raised questions about proposed legislation affecting stablecoins. He stated that "Did you know the Genius Act would allow banks to offer interest on stablecoins, but ban everyone else from offering interest? Including current stablecoin issuers…".
In a subsequent post on the same day, Davidson criticized the structure of the Genius Act. He argued that "Genius is design so that all money into or out of crypto flows through traditional banks. Genius intentionally fails to protect self-custody - like cash, the ability to control your own money without involving a 3rd party."
Later that afternoon, Davidson commented on criminal exploitation and referenced public figures and lyrics. He wrote: "Epstein wasn’t self-employed. Epstein exploited and helped others exploit minors. 'I wish politicians would look out for miners, not just minors on an island somewhere.' - @AintGottaDollar"
Warren Davidson was born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970 and currently resides in Troy.
