Warren Davidson, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 8th district since 2016, posted a series of tweets on July 20, 2025, addressing topics ranging from commentary on surveillance to references to public figures.

In a tweet published at 01:24 UTC, Davidson referenced Scott Adams with the statement "Clever, as always, @ScottAdamsSays." Three minutes later, he quoted another user, posting "And they don't think you know but I know that you do.” - @AintGottaDollar".

Later that day at 13:54 UTC, Davidson commented on surveillance measures in the United States and Ireland. He wrote: "In America, the Patriot Act was imposed following 9/11. Sadly, spying on citizens has only expanded since then. What existential threat faces Ireland? Their government is expanding Ireland's surveillance state to protect the invasion of Ireland. @JDVance nailed it at Munich! https://t.co/rmGI2kMntf"

Davidson’s remarks reference ongoing debates about privacy and government surveillance in both the U.S. and Europe. The Patriot Act was enacted after September 11 to enhance law enforcement investigatory tools but has faced criticism over its impact on civil liberties.

Warren Davidson succeeded John Boehner in Congress and previously served as a trustee in Concord Township from 2004 to 2005. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970, Davidson currently resides in Troy.
