Warren Davidson, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 8th district since 2016, used his Twitter account on July 22, 2025 to address issues ranging from the right to repair consumer goods to Congressional representation and federal funding deadlines.

In a post at 13:45 UTC, Davidson wrote: "Freedom means owning what you buy, whether it’s a Jeep Wrangler for your family or a rugged Jeep AEV J8 Milspec built for our troops. When you own something, you have the right to repair it. Congress must vote to restore the Right to Repair!"

Later that day at 14:31 UTC, he commented on census policy and congressional mapping: "Stolen representation cannot stand! Their invasion has been treasonous. We need a new Census that counts citizens and only permits citizens to count when drawing Congressional maps. Congress represents citizens. Non-citizens have embassies for their home countries. Pass my bill!"

At 18:24 UTC, Davidson addressed Congressional scheduling and fiscal deadlines: "Cutting the House agenda short this week and leaving until September exposes the intent to miss the 9/30 deadline to pass FY2026 funding. Not surprising, but worth noting the continuity of status quo approaches… SNAFU."

Davidson has represented Ohio's 8th District in Congress since replacing John Boehner in 2016 and previously served as a trustee in Concord Township from 2004 to 2005. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970, he currently resides in Troy.
