Warren Davidson, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 8th district since 2016, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing issues related to border security, election integrity, and the role of the press.
On August 3, 2025, Davidson posted: "Secure borders. ️ Secure elections. ️ Promises made. Promises kept."
Later that day, he elaborated on election security by stating: "There are many components of a secure election. Knowing who voted is fundamental. Voter ID cannot be optional for federal elections." This comment highlights his stance that voter identification should be mandatory in federal elections.
On August 4, Davidson addressed the importance of journalism in democracy with the post: "An HONEST free press is essential to defending freedom. Thanks for doing your part @C__Herridge."
Davidson has represented Ohio’s 8th District in Congress since replacing John Boehner in 2016 and previously served as a trustee in Concord Township from 2004 to 2005. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970, he currently resides in Troy.
