Later that day, he addressed concerns about civil liberties in the United States. On August 6 he posted: "Privacy may be the most infringed right protected by our Bill of Rights. Privacy is essential to defending freedom. Action is long overdue!"

Davidson has served as Ohio's 8th District representative since replacing John Boehner in 2016 and previously held local office as a Concord Township trustee from 2004 to 2005. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970, Davidson currently resides in Troy.
