Warren Davidson, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 8th district since 2016, posted several statements on his Twitter account on August 11, 2025, addressing topics ranging from the Federal Reserve’s approach to digital currency to governance in Washington, D.C.

In a tweet published at 13:23 UTC, Davidson commented on central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), stating, "From 2023. The Federal Reserve is not building a 'retail CBDC'. They are building CBDC architecture and want to restrict self-custody. An account-based future for money is their vision and their objective. Congress must change their course swiftly."

Later that day, at 15:42 UTC, Davidson addressed issues of law and order in the nation’s capital, writing, "Even the basic libertarian ethos of:

Davidson has represented Ohio's 8th District in Congress since replacing John Boehner in 2016. Prior to his congressional service, he was a trustee for Concord Township in Ohio from 2004 to 2005. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970, Davidson currently resides in Troy.
