Warren Davidson raises concerns about digital asset custody and cartel ties in recent posts

Warren Davidson, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 8th district since 2016, posted several statements on social media on August 25, 2025, addressing issues related to digital asset self-custody and alleged connections between American political parties and drug cartels.

In a post published at 04:18 UTC, Davidson wrote, "True story. Self-custody of digital assets faces the same existential threat. Freedom surrendered is rarely reclaimed."

Later that day, at 12:05 UTC, Davidson commented on border security and cartel activity, stating, "While there is no formal pro-cartel lobby in Washington DC, we all know which American political party is aligned with the cartels. Davidson has served as a member of Congress for Ohio’s 8th District since replacing John Boehner in 2016. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was part of the Concord Township Board of Trustees from 2004 to 2005. Born in Sidney, Ohio in 1970, Davidson currently resides in Troy.
